God
The Bible says that God is holy. That means He is perfect. He has never sinned. He cannot sin, nor can anything sinful be near Him.
Leviticus 11:4
For I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am holy.
1 john 1:5
God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.
Man
The Bible says that man is not holy, but completely sinful. You have lied. You have lusted. You have sinned. We all have sinned.
Romans 3:10-12
None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks God. All have turned aside; together they become worthless; no one does good, not even one.
Romans 3:23
All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Dilemma
Our sin separates us from God in this life and the next. We will spend eternity separated from God in hell because of our sin.
Romans 6:23
The wages of sin is death.
2 Thessalonians 1:8-9
All who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might.
Solution
God passionately loves us. He made a way for us to be reconciled through His son. Jesus was born, lived without sin, but died for our sins. He resurrected from the dead three days later. Jesus is the way.
Romans 6:23
The free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
Respond
Pray to God and tell Him you need a savior, that you know you have sinned against Him and want to turn from your sin in order to trust Jesus for your salvation. Then, follow Jesus for the rest of your life.
Romans 10:9
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Psalm 32:5
I acknowledged my sin to You, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and You forgave the iniquity of my sin.
