The Vision of Cross Community Church

My name is Del Traffanstedt, and I want to tell you about Cross Community Church. Our new church is a faith gathering for all people with our identity in Jesus Christ alone. We love how God uniquely created each of us as individuals; however, a church is a unified group of people with a common faith and identity. For Cross Community, that identity is based on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and God's Word. We will embrace everything the Bible tells the church to be and seek to obey God's Word in every area of our lives and our common faith and practice.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ tears down dividing walls between men and God and promotes unity built on the Love for God and love for others. Based on that truth, Cross Community will be a Cross Centered church; this means we will focus on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Word of God. We want everyone to know about the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and our need to repent of our sin and believe in him. We will also be Community Focused inside and out; this means we will live out the commands of Jesus to train each other in God's Word, and then we will tell others about him. As we live out our faith in Community, we will seek to be a Church Sent. So we will equip, grow, and deploy our members to reach our surrounding Community, the city of Houston, and wherever else God calls us on planet earth.
